    Faith Alexis Ford was born on September 14, 1964, in Alexandria, Louisiana, USA.

    She grew up in Pineville, a neighboring town to Alexandria, where she began her acting career in the local high school. At the age of 17, Faith moved to New York City and entered the modeling industry, as well as finding work in advertising.

    In 1983, Ford landed her first television role in the ABC series "One Life to Live" as Muffy Critchlow. Her breakthrough role came in the NBC soap opera "Another World," where she portrayed Julia Shearer for several years.
